Jakarta, 14 February 2023 – DBS Bank Ltd (DBS) and Bank DBS Indonesia are working with KreditPro (PT. Tri Digi Fin), a digital funding platform for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia, providing financing for supply chain financing. DBS acts as an institutional lender, channeling loan funds to MSMEs that are members of KreditPro. This collaboration realizes DBS aspirations in reaching the MSME segment.
Director of Institutional Banking Group PT Bank DBS Indonesia Kunardy Lie stated, “This collaboration with KreditPro gives us the opportunity to actively participate in the growth of ecosystem-based B2B financing in Indonesia. At Bank DBS Indonesia, we ensure our customers can focus on growing their business with our comprehensive digital capabilities.”
KreditPro is a supply chain financing service provider platform that is part of DigiAsia, a financial technology company for business-to-business (B2B) in Indonesia. DigiAsia consistently innovates to provide easy access to affordable financial products, regardless of the size of the business, infrastructure, or the digital literacy of the actors.
DigiAsia Bios Co-founder Prashant Gokarn stated, “We are honored and excited about the collaboration we have with DBS. We really believe this collaboration will have a positive impact and benefits for the MSME sector in Indonesia.”
To realize DigiAsia’s mission, KreditPro is here to provide supply chain financing for various value chains, starting from small businesses (warung), and wholesalers (grosir), to the distributor level. In doing this, KreditPro is currently focusing on the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry, telecommunications, and the agribusiness sector, and plans to expand into other sectors in the future.
DigiAsia Bios Co-founder and Main Commissioner of KreditPro Alexander Rusli stated, “As a company affiliated with DigiAsia Bios, KreditPro is proud to announce its latest partnership with DBS. This collaboration will further strengthen our mission in supporting the financial transformation of our partners in this digital era at affordable costs through a variety of financial products for the mass-market.”
KreditPro Vice President Rizky Jonathan added, “Our collaboration with DBS will be an excellent opportunity to expand our reach to business communities that need financial support.”
As one of the largest banks in Asia, DBS makes Indonesia one of the main markets for its business growth. DBS seeks to promote financial inclusion in Indonesia even for the smallest businesses, and supply chain financing through productive loans, in a low-cost and risky approach.
Through this collaboration between DBS and KreditPro, business people who use DigiAsia products will get access to financing from DBS. For the first step, this collaboration will focus on the FMCG industry ecosystem. Funding will be available easily and quickly based on payment analysis and the track record of business actors in the DigiAsia ecosystem. This financing service is available with transparent fees and transaction flow supported by a closed-wallet system from DigiAsia.
Group Head IBG Ecosystem Bank DBS Abdul Raof Latiff stated “Through collaboration with KreditPro, DBS plans to provide support to our large corporate customer ecosystem through financing their supply chain with MSME players included in it. This joint venture is in line with our strategy to realize mutually beneficial solutions, as well as embedded digital financing solutions in various industries to increase the resilience of business ecosystems and supply chains.”
