PT Bank DKI’s expansion of access to digital financing continues. Most recently, Bank DKI has partnered with Digiasia Bios (Digiasia), an embedded fintech-as-a-service (EfaaS) company, in the provision of credit financing for supply chains.
In this case, Bank DKI acts as an institutional lender while a subsidiary of Digiasia acts as a peer-to-peer lending platform, as well as the use of other products and services. The cooperation was marked by Bank DKI’s Director of Technology and Operations Amirul Wicaksono and Digiasia Bios Co-Founder Alexander Rusli signing a Memorandum of Understanding in Jakarta on Thursday (5/11/23).
Amirul Wicaksono expressed his appreciation for the cooperation that has been established between the two companies. In a written statement on Sunday (5/14/2023), Amirul concluded, “Bank DKI’s move to partner with Digiasia was made with optimism to add value to products and services and become a solution to the customer needs of both parties.”
Separately, Bank DKI President Director Fidri Arnaldy said that collaborating with Digiasia provides an opportunity for Bank DKI to actively participate in growing the ecosystem-based Business to Business (B2B) lending.
“So far, the synergy between Bank DKI and Digiasia is believed to strengthen the business areas of each entity and build a healthier and more inclusive macro-financial ecosystem, but there is an anomalous perception of the relationship between banks and fintechs that seems contradictory.” he said.
Fidri added that in order to expand the public’s access to finance, enhance the competitiveness of its products and services, and increase Bank DKI’s contribution not only within the scope of DKI Jakarta but also on a national scale to achieve the Golden Indonesia Vision 2045, Bank DKI is always open to various opportunities to synergize with various entities.
In the same vein, Alexander Rusli expressed his respect and enthusiasm for being entrusted with the formation of a strategic partnership with Bank DKI.
“We strongly believe that working with Bank DKI will bring positive impact and benefit to both parties. We understand that each business and community is unique. Through the Fintech products and services we offer, we are here to help and support the financial transformation of our partnering companies and customers,” said Alex.
Digiasia is Indonesia’s first efaaS company with four superior products and services, namely KasPro (digital payment), KreditPro (P2P lending), RemitPro (remittance) and DigiBos (digital financial services).
All products and services in operation have obtained permits, licenses and are fully certified by Bank Indonesia (BI), Financial Services Authority (OJK) including ISO27001 certification, QRC solution, PCI DSS certification, Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK), Indonesian Remittance Providers Association (APPUI) and Indonesian Joint Funding Fintech Association (AFPI).
The Corporate Secretary of Bank DKI, Arie Rinaldi, added that the synergy is an excellent opportunity to take advantage of products and services for both parties, as well as to expand the access of banking to business communities in need of financial support.
