Helping Indonesian MSMEs, RemitPro Partners with Volopay to Expand Overseas Money Transfer Services

Jakarta, April 3, 2023 – RemitPro, a technology-based remittance platform, once again announced its latest collaboration with Volopay, a financial transaction management fintech startup, which will reach the Indonesian micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) market. This collaboration is presented as a form of RemitPro’s commitment to provide easy and secure overseas remittance services specifically for MSME players in Indonesia.

RemitPro, which is one of Digiasia Bios’ affiliates, shares the same mission of expanding public financial education and literacy to promote the creation of economic digitalization at all levels. This also refers to data from Kominfo at the end of 2022, which states that the MSME sector is still the backbone in the current economic recovery, so there is a need for synergy between companies to achieve sustainable economic digitalization.

“Seeing the size of the MSME market that is the focus of the government, RemitPro and Volopay will jointly provide support for easy access to overseas remittances for service users, especially Indonesian MSMEs and also those who have joined our ecosystem so far,” said Arman Bhariadi, President Director of RemitPro.

The support provided by both companies will be in the form of an ongoing collaboration where RemitPro will be present as a remittance service provider. While Volopay will support by providing references to its service users who have the need to transfer funds abroad to use RemitPro services.

Arman also mentioned that Volopay will help RemitPro collect data, information and documents needed for the money transfer process to be performed by RemitPro, so that the transaction process performed by RemitPro will be easier, faster and safer. RemitPro’s remittance service system support can also help loyal RemitPro users who are referred by Volopay to send money to several major business destination countries, such as the United States, India, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, China, and Hong Kong.

Through this collaboration, RemitPro, which facilitates the remittance process, will focus on business transactions conducted by Indonesian MSME players. Arman said this service will focus on bill payment transactions for the purchase of goods or services abroad, salary payments, and other payments related to the fulfillment of obligations under agreements between senders and recipients of funds.

The collaboration between RemitPro and Volopay was signed by Arman and Rohit Bhageria, Volopay’s founding member and EVP, on Friday, March 24. “We agree that in addition to promoting economic digitization in the MSME sector, this collaboration is expected to expand RemitPro’s system network and facilitate the remittance process for remittance service users in Indonesia, where Volopay is helping by recommending our services to these service users,” concluded Arman.
